She utilizes cognitive and behavioral approaches, with mindfulness and relaxation strategies, but enjoys exploring which approach and techniques suit each client best. She looks forward to working with a variety of ages and clinical issues here at Counseling Associates.
Kathleen believes that people were never meant to struggle through life’s inevitable challenges and problems alone. Great things can happen when a person reaches out to another to heal, learn, and grow. She is passionate about creating a safe place for people to express themselves without fear of judgment. She believes C.S. Lewis expresses it well: “Be weird. Be random. Be who you are. Because you never know who would love the person you hide.”
Kathleen moved from Kansas City area in 2017 and has come to love and enjoy the Joplin community a great deal. She loves to travel and experience the beautiful scenery and great diversity of culture that the world has to offer. She enjoys music, sings poorly, and plays multiple instruments tolerably. She most enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing games, crafting, and reading.[/read]
